CNC Machinist

Location:  Hartsville, Tennessee

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
       

  • Reads and interprets engineering blueprints, methods sheets, gage list and work order to determine required tooling and operational sequences.

  • Installs and adjusts alignment of tooling such as drills, cutters, dies and holding devices, using templates, measuring instruments, and hand tools.

  • Verifies machine settings such as feeds and speeds, applying knowledge of shop mathematics.

  • Monitors machine operation and moves controls to align and adjust position of work pieces.

  • Capable of understanding and editing existing G-code programs and offsets.

  • Inspects first-piece and verifies conformance at machine setup.

  • Performs basic preventive maintenance and cleaning of machines and equipment.

  • Communicates quality, safety or machinery problems to Supervisor.



QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience setting up CNC mills and/or lathes in a metalworking environment.  

  • Technical education preferred.

  • $26 to $29 per hour to start, with higher rates available for advanced skill and experience
